About this Special Issue
Digital geoscience is an emerging field that uses digital tools and technologies to advance our understanding of the Earth and its systems. This can include using high-performance computing to model complex geophysical processes, using remote sensing to map geological features, or developing new algorithms to analyze large datasets of geological information. The potential applications of digital geoscience are vast, from predicting natural hazards and understanding climate change to finding new mineral deposits and improving resource management.
The special issue on Digital Geoscience is an exciting opportunity to showcase cutting-edge research and innovative applications of digital technology in geoscience. Papers submitted to the special issue should present original research that advances our understanding of digital geoscience and demonstrate how digital technologies can be applied to address important scientific questions and societal challenges. The papers will be peer-reviewed by experts in the field, and accepted papers will be published online in the Earth Science Systems and Society journal.
